Dr. Dino To Stay in Jail

ReligionNewsBlog has reported that the tax evasion convictions of Kent Hovind and his wife have been upheld:

Kent Hovind, 55, is serving a 10-year sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution in Edgefield S.C.

He was found guilty in November 2006 of failing to collect and pay $473,818 in employee-related taxes, obstructing tax laws and structuring transactions to avoid financial reporting laws.

Jo Hovind, 53, was sentenced to one year and a day in prison on 45 counts structuring transactions to avoid financial reporting laws.

Apparently, the future of Dinosaur Adventure Land is still being decided.

what he main stream meadia wont say is that Ken tried to pay the money and they refused to take it. Many people in the name of science wanted him put away because the truth he taught was not only from the bible but would change science today as we know it and the rulers that control the masses with it.

  2. Actually, the case against him was pretty air-tight and the Treasury department doesn't care one way or the other what he teaches on creation or evolution.

Like most recent earth creationists, he had no training in biology or palaeontology and so failed to correctly interpret evidence. Also, his degree was from a suitcase school with no accreditation, he claimed his dissertation was an evolving work (dissertations aren't, they are static documents) and his 250 000 dollar challenge to prove evolution was bogus.

As for the money he tried to pay back, that doesn't change the fact that he didn't pay it in the first place, which was against the law.
