In the Mail

Daniel Harrel's Nature's Witness: How Evolution Can Inspire Faith (Living Theology) just came in the mail. I am looking forward to reading it. My nine-year-old girl Madeline just peered at it and took in the title, then said “You've been looking forward to this, haven't you?” We haven't had that conversation yet. Of course, my four-year-old is running around singing “I am a paleontologist!” by They Might Be Giants. One thing at a time.

  1. James,

I love your blog. I'm not a scientist in any way, but I have 4 kids, 6 to 16, and I identify with the controversy in your household. My oldest, 16, is on board with the findings of mainstream science. My 13-year-old rolls her eyes and says "Another evo-LUT-tion book!" every time I get a delivery from Amazon. My wife just sits by, bemused by my fascination with the relationship of faith with science. The two youngest are too young to grasp what's going on.

Harrel's book is in my small library. Great read, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
